Working on a Ph.D. can feel like a lonely task, that's why I like working at Aurea. I get a balance between peace and quiet so that I can concentrate, but also social interaction so that I get to make friends and feel connected to others. I love being able to have a personal desk, as I get to leave all my school books in one place and not have to carry them around with me.
What really sets Aurea Centre apart from the other
co-working spaces I have been a member of is that it is located within a design consultancy and social startup incubator. The Aurea team and the other members are however what really makes the experience of being in Auroville feel a little more like home. Always helpful and inspiring, it has been a real joy to discuss projects, skillshare and meet like-minded people across the spectrum from consultants to social entrepreneurs to curious visitors. The wider context of Auroville means that the people I meet here are all most certainly incredibly interesting people, with a story or two to share, and most certainly something new to teach me. Oh, and another important plus is that they have a great electricity backup system (not a given in Auroville!), and the highest speed internet in the area.
